Sunmachine MusicStraight out of Austin, the Live Music Capitol of the World comes SunMachine. The band consists of members Mitch Armstrong, Jimi Jackson, Jason James, and Rob Rosson. SunMachine's sound is simply hypnotic. It's passionate and intense with unique time signatures like you've never heard. From truly undeniable hard rock hooks and hushed melodies to a mix of wailing guitars, their sound is infectious. The powerful and evocative voice of the band that commands attention is lead singer and guitarist Mitch Armstrong. A Dallas native, Mitch has established an impressive reputation as a songwriter with a passionate voice and mesmerizing acoustic-electric guitar. Hard-hitting drummer Jimi Jackson, a former Lava/Atlantic recording artist of The Boondock Saints, toured the U.S. in support of his debut album, enjoyed national radio play and recorded with guitar legend Jeffrey 'Skunk' Baxter. He plays with unrivaled authority and carries the band with solid rhythms. Lead guitarist Jason James makes his presence felt in a big way. While taking his smokin' solos to screaming crescendos, he blends power with grace. His tasteful and versatile style includes the use of counter rhythms and effects to produce a fusion of psychedelic sounds. Bassist Rob Rosson gels with the drums to form a powerful rhythm section. He plays a solid, vibrant bass. Rob is a complex, intellectual musician who has meticulously studied his craft and his sound is an intriguing blend of rock, funk and blues. The most recent member of the band, Rob has become the final component of the Machine. SunMachine consciously strives for originality, fearlessly pushing themselves into new territory. In addition to airplay on Austin's premier rock station, 93.7 KLBJ, SunMachine has been featured on Waco's 97.5 FM and the Colorado Music Showcase on 107.9 The Bear.
